Silence of the Lambs – 1991

First, let me admit: I watched the movie, The Silence of the Lambs before I read the book. Now we got that unpleasantness out of the way, let’s talk about Anthony Hopkins’ Hannibal Lecter. There is no better modern icon of classy horror. Lecter is so sinister, so smooth, so devilish, that you constantly fight the urge to cheer him on while being sickened by what he does. That is my favorite type of villain.
